On Friday, the Seymour High School softball program and Seymour athletic department will retire pitcher Jen D'Amato's No. 25 jersey.

D’Amato helped lead Seymour to three state championships while a member of Seymour from 1992-1996. She was a four-year all-league player, three-time all-stater and was named to the all-american team as a senior. Her teams had an 89-6 record. She was recently inducted into the Connecticut High School and Collegiate Hall of Fame.

The ceremony will follow the game vs. Derby at the Seymour High School Softball Field. The game will begin at 5: p.m. Former Head Coach Bill Davis and a few others will be in attendance. There will be refreshments after the game.
