East Haven advances in SCC tournament
Pinch-hitter McKenzie Miessau singled in Amanda Bradley with the go-ahead run in
the top of the ninth inning as No. 7 East Haven upset No. 2 Law 3-2 in a
Southern Connecticut Conference tournament quarterfinal win at Milford.
Amanda Jessey doubled twice for the Easties (15-6). Melissa Nelson took the loss for the Eagles (18-3).
No. 1 Foran 8, No. 8 North Haven 2: Danielle Kemp hit a three-run home run, Fallon Bevino had two RBIs and Jess Harkness struck out 11 in Foran’s (20-1) SCC quarterfinal win.
Nicole Dunlop doubled for North Haven (12-9).
No. 3 Amity 5, No. 6 Guilford 0: Catherine Semones and Emily Fox each had a pair of hits to lead the Spartans to the home victory over the Indians in the SCC quarterfinals.
Jenna DiLorenzo added a double for Amity.
