H-K in thick of Shoreline Conference race

Haddam-Killingworth is once again in the thick of the Shoreline Conference race.

After advancing to the league tournament final last season, Cougars coach Jeff Talbott thought his team would contend again this year.

The reason was simple: experience.

“At the beginning of the season I thought we would have a good team,” Talbott said. “We have five seniors that are four-year starters. We have great senior leadership. With five of the nine (starters) on the field being seniors, that (experience) pays off. I’m extremely pleased. They’re good kids.”
