Rebekah DeRosa’s RBI single in the fourth inning gave the Lions a 3-0
lead as they hung on for the SCC interdivision win in Milford.
Gina Georgetti had an RBI single and pitcher Jess Harkness allowed one hit and had seven strikeouts for the Lions (14-1).
Amity 7, North Haven 1: Pitcher Corina Zdrowski helped her cause with a three-run homer and solo homer to lead the Spartans to their SCC interdivision win in North Haven. Zdrowski also struck out seven. Jacqui Ferraiolo added a solo homer for the Spartans (12-3). The Indians dropped to 9-6.
Haddam-Killingworth 7, Morgan 1: Sam Waskowitz hit a bases-loaded triple and Kaylee Normandy added a solo homer to lead HK to victory in Clinton.
