Mercy preps for big test with Foran
Mercy softball coach Jason Thody is hoping for a much different result when his
Tigers visit No. 3 Foran (13-1) today.
In the first meeting with the Lions, Mercy (11-3) pitcher Mary Adametz issued five walks and hit three batters in a 9-4 loss on April 20.
Thody, though, thought his team played well enough both offensively and defensively to win.
“It’s not typical for us to give out that many free passes,” Thody said. “It was an anomaly. Against a good team like Foran, you can’t give out eight free passes.”
The rematch is set for 4 p.m. in Milford.
