Casey Jackson's RBI single broke a 4-4 tie and then Caroline Fortuna drove home the eventual winning run in the top of the seventh inning as Haddam-Killingworth emerged with a 6-5 win over rival North Branford to remain unbeaten in the Shoreline Conference Large Division with this victory Wednesday at Totoket Park.

North Branford (7-3, 7-1) scored on a passed ball in the bottom of the seventh inning but left the bases loaded and the Cougars (7-2, 7-0) hung on.


Lauren McCann had three hits, a run and two RBIs while Jackson and Fortuna each had two hits in the win.

Sam Monaco had three hits and three runs and Tori Ramada had three hits and two RBIs for the Thunderbirds.
