Seymour will host its first “pink” event on April 22 at 5 p.m. when the Wildcats host Holy Cross. Seymour Pink is a charity event to help raise awareness in the fight against breast cancer.

The organization, under the leadership of Seymour teacher Mary Deming, has raised over $250,000 during other events, with substantial donations going to local hospitals and to individuals to help defray some of the financial burden from being affected by the disease.

There will be food and raffle prizes, and Deming will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
