Law leads Hammonasset Division

When a team leaves an opponent on the field in the bottom of the final inning is arguably one of the most exciting moments in softball.

For Law, doing it against city rival Foran, then ranked No. 2 in the Register Top 10 Poll, just added to the drama.

That’s what happened to the last Wednesday when Law emerged with a 2-1 victory over the previously undefeated Lions.

Catcher Amanda Leone scored the winning run on an error in the bottom of the seventh inning. Senior shortstop Melissa Nelson drove in a run in the win.
