Friday in Review

Lauralton Hall 2, No. 6 Oxford 1: Jackie Brewster singled home Maureen Connolly with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the host Crusaders this walk-off victory over the Wolverines in this South-West Conference contest at Milford.

Haley Congdon scored the tying run in the seventh inning on an error for Lauralton Hall (10-3).

No. 7 East Haven 28, Career 0: Amanda Jessey collected her 100th career hit for the Easties in this SCC Oronoque Division win.

McKenzie Miessau had four hits, while Jena Villecco, Kara Hanson and Laura Anderson all had three hits for East Haven (14-1, 6-0).

No. 8 Foran 15, Hillhouse 0: Lucy Weissauer tossed a no-hitter and struck out 10 in this SCC Hammonasset Division win in Milford.

Fallon Bevino and Jenna Zacarelli each had two doubles and four RBIs and Gina Georgetti had three hits, including a triple, for Foran (11-3).

Hand 6, Sacred Heart Academy 4: Mel Rennie had a double and a triple for the visiting Tigers in this SCC interdivision win at Hamden.

Kate Boudreau also had two hits for Hand (12-1).

Becca Marks had two hits and two RBIs for the Pacers (8-6).

Amity 3, Lyman Hall 0: Teresa Marchitto had two hits and scored twice for the host Spartans in this SCC Housatonic Division victory at Woodbridge.

Krista Reynolds drove in two runs and Jenna DiLorenzo had an RBI single for Amity (10-4). Heather Ferranti allowed just one hit and struck out eight to earn the win.

Law 10, Guilford 0: Justine Bannon went 3-for-3 with four RBIs for the host Eagles in this SCC Hammonasset Division win at Milford.

Danielle Gray had three hits, including a double, and two runs and Jenna Bernard struck out eight for Law (9-5).

Chess Zuppardi and Allie Stephens each had two hits for the Indians (3-12).

Morgan 3, Old Saybrook 0: Pitcher Emily Popp allowed four hits and struck out three and Jen Dawson had a solo homer to lead the Huskies to their Shoreline Conference win in Clinton.

Tori Hopkins added two hits, an RBI and run scored for the Huskies (11-1).

Kelsey Root had a triple for the Rams (10-2).

North Haven 15, Wilbur Cross 0: Rachel Giatrelis had two hits and two runs for the host Indians in this SCC Oronoque Division win.

Haley Arnaoutis had two hits for North Haven (10-5, 5-1).

West Haven 5, Hamden 0: Winning pitcher Camdyn Morgillo allowed four hits and helped her cause with a double and a single for the host Westies in this SCC Quinnipiac Division win.

Katie Hoyt had two doubles and a single and Madison Watts had a triple and two RBIs for West Haven (10-4).

Seymour 10, Derby 1: Carissa Wasikowski allowed one hit and struck out 16 for the host Wildcats in this Naugatuck Valley League win.

Grace Nisbet had four hits and Sarah Molin and Emma Crocamo each had three hits and two RBIs for Seymour (12-2).

Westbrook 8, Old Lyme 0: Kaitlin MacMillan had 13 strikeouts and hit a home run as the White Knights topped the Wildcats in a Shoreline Conference game at home.

Haddam-Killingworth 16, Valley Regional 7: Sam Waskowitz had three hits, three runs and three RBIs for the host Cougars in this Shoreline Conference win at Higganum.

Casey Jackson had three hits and four RBIs and Lauren McCann had a home run, two singles and three RBIs for H-K (11-3, 11-0).
