Law rallies in seventh, beats West Haven in 10

WEST HAVEN — Three outs away from a tough loss, the Jonathan Law softball team did what it has done all year.

Behind the pitching of Jenna Bernard and the hitting of Danielle Gray, the Eagles rallied with a run in the seventh and another in the 10th to defeat West Haven 2-1 in 10 innings at Biondi Field Monday night.

Trailing 1-0 in the seventh inning, Gray led off with a line drive that carried over the head of West Haven center fielder Alexis Severino. Gray raced to third to start the inning and scored when Sam Murphy grounded to short.
